Just a quick note to say that I will be away for 2 weeks, spending time with family in Singapore over the Chinese New Year period. I have some entries prepared that I will put up during this period but my response to comments will probably be sporadic and delayed. I promise to do update on our culinary adventures in Singapore and Malaysia when I return. The husband and I are fully prepared to stuff ourselves over the next 2 weeks :)
In the mean time, I leave you with some bento from this week.
Pasta salad with cut up meat balls, cucumber and honey mustard dressing, a hard boiled egg, grapes and chilli cheddar.
This was a freezer-stash kind of day, when I had little food in the fridge or time to pack lunch. The gyoza, rice, crabstick and peas were all frozen. Only the snow peas were from the fridge. All heated/thawed in the microwave and then stir fried together in minutes.
Top tier: vegetable gyoza, stir fried snow peas and fish container of dark vinegar. Bottom tier: fried rice with crab sticks and peas.
Another stir fry bento: peppers, snow peas, noodles, meatballs and spring onions.

Those meatballs look good! Have a lovely holiday.
Love gyoza!!
Have a fabulous time back home, Nilmandra! Looking forward to see pics of your time there.
Thanks! I am definitely trying to keep up with the photo-taking. The problem is that I often find myself remember only after I'm halfway through the meal! Oops. Need to rein in the enthusiasm there.
